2½ x 2½ Trailing Arms with Bug Bearing Carriers

4130 chrome-moly tubing construction.
The bearing carriers in all of our trailing arms are CNC machined to exact specifications from 4140 billet steel. Our type one bug-style housings use standard bearings, spacer, snap ring, seals, and the stock steel seal housing that bolts onto the outside face. Type one stub axles, Thing, or 924 axles work in this housing. Avery's can also supply type 1 axles with Porsche 930 cv joint mount if you wish.
2½ x 2½ arms ( 2½ inches longer and 2½ inches wider than stock) Typically stock bus 18¾ inch long drive axles are used with these arms when a VW bus transaxle is being used along with type 2 bus CV joints if the arms are bolted into a stock VW IRS pan.
These arms are designed to fit into a stock IRS pan. 1½ degrees of camber change has been built into these arms so that the camber will be correct in the vehicle at ride height.
Standard VW bug drum brakes work with these arms, disc brake mounts can be provided for Wilwood style calipers for a small extra charge.
The trailing arms weigh 19 pounds each.
